Best Buy-TalkShopLive Partnership Brings In-Store Pickup to Livestream Shopping

Best Buy is offering in-store pickup for livestream shopping orders through a partnership with social-commerce platform TalkShopLive. The show debuted on Dec. 12, 2022 with a segment hosted by media personality Noah Schnacky, who led viewers through a live tour of his favorite products, which customers could purchase via the program and pick up at Best Buy.

TalkShopLive has used the 2022 holiday season to launch fresh approaches to livestream shopping that better align digital commerce with physical retail. On Nov. 23, 2022, ahead of the big Thanksgiving shopping weekend, TalkShopLive brought livestream shopping to the street, working with FrontRunner Technologies to allow New York City shoppers to purchase products by scanning QR codes from videos displayed in the windows of select retailers.

Shoppable video segments on display in retailers’ windows included programming that featured celebrities such as Gloria Estefan, who promoted her new holiday album Estefan Family Christmas. Additional segments included live shopping and re-airings of programming that featured Dolly Parton, Drew Barrymore, Shania Twain, Bobby Flay and Ludacris.

“We constantly strive to innovate solutions for retailers and brands to connect their live shopping experiences with physical shopping experiences,” said Bryan Moore, CEO and Founder of TalkShopLive in a statement. “For our large retailer partners, we have proven that products featured in TalkShopLive shows often garner an omnichannel sales lift upwards of 1,500%. As holiday shopping often leads to shipping delays, in-store pickup allows customers to have a personal and interactive live shopping experience without any worries on delivery times.”
