Herman Miller, Design Within Reach Launch 3D Product Visualization Online

Herman Miller and Design Within Reach (DWR) have launched 3D product visualization on their U.S. retail websites to ease customization for shoppers and designers.

To make product customization easier and more contextual for online shoppers, Herman Miller and Design Within Reach (DWR) have both launched 3D product visualization on their U.S. retail websites.

The 3D product visualization and customization features are powered by 3D Cloud by Marxent and are available on top-performing seating products, with plans to add more items in the future. Online shoppers can now customize the following chair models in real time before they buy: Aeron Chair, Aeron Gaming Chair, Cosm Chair, Embody Chair, Embody Gaming Chair, Lino Chair, Mirra 2 Chair, Sayl Chair, Sayl Gaming Chair, Setu Chair and Verus Chair.

Customers, designers and trade professionals can use the self-service product configuration tool to visualize combinations that span frames, finishes, back support types, colors and more. Visitors can get accurate and real-time pricing as they design, download images at any stage in the process and easily share their customizations with friends, family and clients. The configurators allow customers to co-create their pieces, elevating their shopping journey with self-service customization options and interactivity. Over the coming weeks, both Herman Miller and DWR will also introduce augmented reality (AR) capabilities for all live configurators on the Herman Miller and DWR sites.

“At MillerKnoll, we are constantly enhancing our digitally enabled customer experiences,” said Ben Groom, CTO of MillerKnoll, parent company of Herman Miller and DWR, in a statement. “With 3D Cloud by Marxent, we leveraged 3D product configurators to build a more immersive and interactive shopping experience for our customers, which has already generated a significant spike in conversion rates.”
