Content Guy’s Note:  Yes, I know I’m supposed to be on vacation.  But while I’m off, I figured I’d file a daily series of FaceTime videos about a variety of off-the-beaten-path subjects that offer relevant business lessons.  I don’t want you to forget me, and I don’t want you to think I’ve forgotten you.

Today, the story of  Tom Stuker,  who has flown 23 million miles on United Airlines by using a lifetime pass he bought in 1990 for $290,000.  Needless to say, he’s the winner on this deal.  (The Washington Post describes it as “playing United like three-card monte.”)  But what’s really unexpected is how United has reacted to Stuker’s extended and extensive patronage, which teaches us all a lesson about treating your best customers like they’re almost always your best ambassadors.

See you Monday.  Have a great weekend.
