Not to be outdone by Amazon and Walmart, Kroger announces their own drone pilot

Amazon’s physical store sales are still a drag on what was an amazing quarter – We believe there are several factors at play here including how sales are defined (ecom vs B&M) that are delivered out of Whole Foods and that the famous ”just walk out” technology is still relatively nascent and hasn’t reached economies of scale.

“Do you Yahoo?” apparently Verizon doesn’t (anymore) – After struggle to compete with the digital advertising duopoly of Facebook and Google Verizon calls it quits and sells off it’s media business (for a $3.8B loss).

But there is an apex predator looming so Facebook / Google should be concerned – Amazon announces it’s ad-supported video reaches more than 120 million viewers a month, up from 20 million in 2020 – that is a 600% increase!
