Demonstrating both the success and it’s faith in it’s “Store in a Store” strategy Target expands it’s Apple Shops. Just months after its initial rollout, the retailer is expanding the number of dedicated stores from 17 to 36 locations.
Outdoor gear and apparel retailer Moosejaw is opening it’s 12 physical location in Bentonville, Arkansas — where Walmart, its parent company, is headquartered. The Bentonville store will be the second-largest Moosejaw location in the U.S., with 6,000 square feet of retail space. This amount of space will give room for Moosejaw to offer a larger assortment such as bikes, snowsports equipment and tuning services.
Walmart acquired Moosejaw in 2017 for $51 million in cash as part of its effort to revitalize its e-commerce arm and boost its presence among higher-income consumers. Moosejaw in 2018 began curating an online store on Walmart’s website
For the fifth year running, Amazon has been named the brand loyalty leader in the US. This is based on Brand Key’s latest annual loyalty study, which ranked customer engagement and loyalty to 1,260 brands across 112 categories.
Rounding out the top five were:
- Apple, up two spots to #2, for Smartphones
- Netflix, down one spot to #3, for Video Streaming;
- Domino’s, up one spot to #4, for Pizza; and
- Amazon again, down two spots, for Video Streaming.
From among nearly 100 entries, consumer judges chose 44 products new to convenience store shelves for recognition in the 2021 Convenience Store News Best New Products Awards competition. This year’s 44 honorees create a tale of two c-stores: healthy products on one side and comforting, fun products on the other.
