Little-Known NFL Player Gets Into Packaged BBQ Business

Dating Taylor Swift and being one of the best tight ends in the National Football League apparently isn’t enough for Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Now he’s in the food business.

Delish reports that Kelce has introduced “Travis Kelce’s Kitchen entrees, a refrigerated meal collection that has been spotted at Walmart … And while deets on the launch remain somewhat limited, here’s what we do know: the retailer has rolled out five entrees with Kansas City-inspired flavors.

“The Travis Kelce’s Kitchen collection includes Burnt Ends Mac & Cheese, Burnt Ends BBQ Baked Beans, Sausage BBQ Baked Beans, Seasoned Brisket Burnt Ends in BBQ Sauce, Seasoned Sliced Brisket in BBQ Sauce, and Sausage & Meatball Marinara with Peppers and Onions. The best part? All you have to do is heat it up and serve.”

KC’s View:

There’s a phrase that dates back to the 15th century:  “Strike while the iron is hot.”

That’s what this is – because it is unlikely that Travis Kelce will ever have more fans – and therefore, more potential fans – than he does at this particular moment.

He just has to hope that after eating the new products, customers don’t say, “I should’ve said no.”
