Palm Beach, FL – During the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Annual Meeting, NACDS elected new officers and one newly elected Board of Directors member for the coming year. NACDS also re-elected six Board of Directors members whose terms were set to expire.
Mike Wysong, chief executive officer, CARE Pharmacies Cooperative Inc., will serve as the new chair of the NACDS Board of Directors, succeeding Brian Nightengale, president, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, who completed his term and who will remain on the NACDS Board of Directors.
In addition, Kevin Host, senior vice president of Pharmacy, Walmart, was elected NACDS vice chair, and Rick Gates, senior vice president and chief pharmacy officer, Walgreen Co., was elected NACDS treasurer. Each officer will serve a one-year term.
“Mike Wysong will contribute strong and passionate leadership for NACDS at a time when the Association’s advocacy victories and business programming have never been more important for America and for the industry,” said NACDS President and CEO Steven C. David Warner, CEO, KPH Healthcare Services, Inc., was also newly elected to the NACDS Board of Directors.
Six NACDS Board of Directors members were also re-elected to three-year terms:
- Brad Cochran, executive vice president, Retail Distribution, Medicine Shoppe International, Inc.;
- Lynne Fruth, president and chairman, Fruth Pharmacy;
- Nimesh Jhaveri, executive vice president and chief impact officer, Health Mart;
- Brian Nightengale, president, Good Neighbor Pharmacy;
- Luke Rauch, senior vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walgreen Co.;
- Mike Wysong, chief executive officer, CARE Pharmacies Cooperative, Inc.
