KC’s View:
This piece adds to a narrative that dollar stores are exploiting their employees, delivering often-miserable retail experiences, and capitalizing on a lack of effective competition to grow their national footprint.
It also speaks to the ineffectiveness of regulators that these companies are able to rack up millions in fines, be sanctioned hundreds of times, and still operate with impunity.
