Another week, another Ransomware attack. The same group behind the JBS attack hit Kaseya, an IT firm that powers retail technology. The attack affected Swedish retailer, Coop. One thing is for certain: retailers need to focus on cybersecurity efforts, identify and build in redundancy in their systems—this will not be the last ransomware attack.
Andy Jassy officially takes over as Amazon CEO. Bezos left quite a legacy, as visualized by Lisa Goller (below), that Jassy will be stepping into. Interestingly, Jassy was the architect behind AWS and was chosen to lead Amazon over talent in other business units (ie. Retail, Logistics, etc). It gives us a clue about where Amazon could be headed.
