Ben & Jerry’s workers to vote on union

Workers at Ben & Jerry’s flagship store in Burlington, VT, will vote on whether to join a union. Some see the vote as putting the ice cream brand’s values to the test. Workers, according to organizers, decided to pursue union representation when management took away a tip jar on the company’s annual Free Cone Day on April 3. The tip jar was returned after workers protested.
