Sega has reached a $774 million deal to acquire Rovio Entertainment, the maker of the Angry Birds game and franchise. “Among the rapidly growing global gaming market, the mobile gaming market has especially high potential, and it has been Sega’s long-term goal to accelerate its expansion in this field,” said Haruki Satomi, the CEO of Sega Sammy Holdings. Angry Birds was the first mobile game to reach one billion downloads.
