Chewy is inviting pet lovers on a TikTok Live date with rescue animals this Valentine’s Day

Calling all animal lovers! Chewy and South Florida-based rescue, Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, have teamed up to spread the love and host Some Buddy to Love, a Chewy TikTok Live event this Valentine’s Day, February 14 at 4pm ET.

For anyone looking for a dose of cuteness or fur-ever Valentine, Some Buddy to Love will feature adorable animal show-and-tells, puppy and kitten livestreams, a kissing booth, activities and more. Viewers are in for a treat as Chewy will have lots of eligible cuties to virtually meet. For every view on TikTok Live, Chewy is donating a pound of pet food and supplies to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League up to 10,000 pounds.

Peggy Adams is one of more than 7,500 nonprofit animal welfare organizations participating in the Chewy Gives Back network and helping to find loving homes for pets in need. Chewy’s Adoptable Pets service, created by Chewy Gives Back, connects thousands of dogs and cats looking for their forever home with future pet parents based on location, personality traits, breed and more.

Chewy is passionate about giving back to the community and, since 2012, the company has donated more than $97 million in products nationwide to ensure shelter and rescue animals get the essentials they need. Anyone interested in joining Chewy in making a difference can donate items directly to the shelter or rescue of their choice through their Wish List on Chewy.com.

While navigating new pet parenthood can seem daunting, Chewy is a convenient, one-stop shop with everything needed to help welcome pets home, including a New Pet Shop with toys, food and treats, beds, potty and training items, collars, ID tags and much more. Chewy Pharmacy makes it easy to get prescription medications and vet-recommended food with the simple click of a button and through Chewy’s innovative telehealth service, Connect with a Vet, pet parents can easily connect with veterinarians through text or video chat in real time.

Adding a new furry family member is a big-yet-rewarding and life-changing decision. With a new pet comes joy and unconditional love for years to come, and studies show there are several health and emotional benefits associated with having pets, such as increased serotonin levels, reduced stress and a lower risk of heart disease.
