Verint boosts customer engagement platform with Qudini retail technology acquisition

Verint has announced the expansion of its customer engagement platform with technology acquired from Qudini, a provider of appointment scheduling solutions.

Qudini is privately held and is based in the UK with approximately 20 employees.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“As more and more brands seek to provide improved consumer journeys with appointment setting capabilities, our customers will be able to benefit from our expanding platform in their contact centres, stores and branches,” says Verint’s Nick Mortimer, Vice President, Product Strategy.

“With these new capabilities, brands will be able to improve sales, customer loyalty and advocacy, and agent productivity, ultimately inspiring a more profitable future for our customers.”

In a LinkedIn post, Qudini CEO and Co-founder, Imogen Wethered, said: “Impressed by our rich products and exciting innovation plans to build a single tool to choreograph holistic omnichannel customer journeys within a single platform, Verint has acquired Qudini to extend their platform offered to contact centres, retail stores and bank branches.

She added: “Together with Verint, Qudini’s Retail Choreography suite will enable more brands to offer better customer experiences that drive sales, loyalty and productivity through appointment scheduling, managing walk-ins, event booking and managing their store associates’ time, tasks and communications in a single platform.”

“Our work with leading retailers and banks has consistently shown that modern customers want brands to use digital tools to manage their experience and that doing so drives them to spend more, visit more and to tell their friends (and many social media connections) about their experience.”

“Retailers and banks are increasingly looking to consolidate software tools to do more with fewer platforms, together with Verint we’ll be able to offer a single platform where businesses can choreograph all their customers and associates in one place.”

Wethered signed off by stating that this was “the start of an incredible new chapter for Qudini and our retail and banking clients and we can’t wait to show the industry what’s in-store (and online).”

She concluded: “Thank you to the incredible team at Verint for being so welcoming to us and for your excitement for our vision.”
