Starting Friday, Target began dropping new deals every day and every week throughout the holiday season. Additionally, Target is launching a new early Black Friday sale from Thursday through Saturday.
Early Black Friday offers include up to 50% off small appliances; 50% off Threshold holiday sheets, 30% off clothing and shoes; and 30% off trees and lights. Daily and weekly deals in November and December will change regularly.
Both national brands, like Lego, Barbie, Dyson and Shark, along with Target-owned brands like Wondershop, Threshold, Good & Gather and Cat & Jack are part of the deals, which also include exclusive offers for Target Circle loyalty program members, the retailer said in a Wednesday announcement.
The daily deals began on Friday and will run through Dec. 24. The weekly deal drops started on Sunday and will run through the following Saturday each week. Target said its top weekly deals during the first week of the promotion include buy one, get one 50% off for select toy brands, including Our Generation, Vtech, Play-Doh, Mega and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; up to 50% off headphones; up to 30% off baby gear and select home decor; and up to 25% off TVs and sound bars.
“We know consumers have a lot of choices when it comes to holiday shopping, so we’re leaning into what Target does better than anyone — great products, great prices and a shopping experience that’s easy and fun,” Rick Gomez, Target’s chief commercial officer, said in a statement.
The company last month also said it plans to cut its regular prices on over 2,000 items across its national and owned brand assortment for the holiday season. The retailer said it also plans to amplify its omnichannel “Tarzhay” experience during the holidays.
One way Target plans to do this is through its first holiday marketing campaign. In the ad, an encounter with Target’s Bullseye dog mascot turns a Target run into a holiday fantasy come to life with reindeer, penguins and ice skating in the aisles, along with a napping polar bear.
The company further plans to bring holiday inspiration to its aisles in real life with Target Wonderland events in New York City, Atlanta and Dallas. Those events will feature experiences with brands like Hasbro, Marvel, Lego and L’Oréal, the retailer said.
Finally, Target is also debuting a holiday mascot, Berry the Bear. The retailer plans to feature a 9-foot-tall version in real life at nine locations. Berry will also appear in select stores during November and December, where Target will unveil four different mini versions of the bear to give away to Target Circle members on Nov. 9, Nov. 29, Dec. 7 and Dec. 21.
