Target and Apple Triple Store-in-Store Relationship to 150 Locations

Target and Apple have tripled the number of Apple at Target locations to 150 in preparation for the holiday season. Additionally, Target Circle members will now have year-round access to a free four-month trial of Apple Fitness+ with no purchase required, and Target will offer special holiday promotions on select Apple Services including Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and iCloud+, with some including up to five months free through Target Circle.

Target and Apple launched their partnership in February 2021 at an initial 17 stores, gradually expanding the number to 36 in 2021 and reaching 150 today. Each store-in-store concept features Apple-trained Target Tech Consultants and twice the space dedicated to Apple products compared to other Target locations. Additionally, Target offers a 5% discount on all Apple purchases when using a Target RedCard.

Target has been making store-in-store partnerships a significant part of its strategy over the past several years with partners including:

  • Ulta Beauty, which is expanding its partnership with Target to reach more than 350 stores by the end of 2022;
  • Disney, which opened Mouse House-branded in-store shops at more than 160 locations as of the end of 2021; and
  • FAO Schwarz, which began presenting its iconic toy shopping experience at Target stores and on Target.com in September 2022.

“Guests love the branded and immersive retail experiences we’re creating with Apple and other partners including Disney, Ulta Beauty and Levi’s,” said Jill Sando, EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer at Target in a statement. “With this Apple expansion, we’re giving guests even more reasons to choose Target for all their shopping and tech service needs.”
