Shein Offers Guided Product Discovery with New ‘Trend Stores’

Online fashion retailers Shein hopes to make shopping on its site more seamless and fun with the debut of “Trend Stores,” a collection of curated online fashion storefronts based on current trends that offer shoppers “a shortcut to the perfect wardrobe.”

Each Trend Store is curated around a distinct fashion aesthetic, including:

  • Serve Party, featuring daring, head-turning pieces from the Missguided (which Shein now owns) and Shein Bae lines for those who want to make a bold statement;
  • City Sleek, featuring tailored pieces from Anewsta and MOTF for those who appreciate refined elegance;
  • Resort Ready, featuring laid-back vacation styles from the Enchnt and Travachic lines;
  • Street Scene, where edgy street style meets bold attitude with offerings from Musera and Shein Icon; and
  • Effortless Ease, featuring everyday looks with playful details and charming silhouettes from Dazy Weekend and Shein Mod.

The idea of combatting potential customer overload in the endless aisles of online marketplaces like Shein with curated sections isn’t new. Amazon launched branded storefronts on its online marketplace in 2018, and other retailers have followed suit; in addition to its new Trend Stores, Shein also launched its first branded store featuring Children’s Place last year. And Best Buy CEO Corie Barry just announced that the company will debut branded storefronts created by influencers this spring.
