Pay gap persists between men and women

Women earned 80 cents for every dollar earned by men in 2002, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of median hourly earnings of full-time and part-time workers. Women today earn 82 cents to every dollar earned by men. The pay gap is roughly the same for women who do and don’t have a college degree.
