Guess? Inc. has appointed Andrew Rosen as Executive Chairman of Rag & Bone, which operates as an independent brand within the Guess? portfolio. Guess? and WHP Global joined forces to purchase Rag & Bone in February 2024; Guess? owns all of Rag & Bone’s operating assets, while the retailer and WHP Global jointly own the Rag & Bone intellectual property.
Rosen’s early career included a stint at Calvin Klein before he co-founded Theory in 1997 and oversaw the company’s growth as CEO for 20 years. He will provide strategic direction and oversight of the Rag & Bone team, working with Guess? Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Paul Marciano, CEO Carlos Alberini and WHP Global Chairman and CEO Yehuda Shmidman.
“I have been involved with Rag & Bone since 2006,” said Rosen in a statement. “I have always been passionate about our brand and the opportunities that lie ahead. This new relationship now cements that ambition by providing an incredible platform for us to leverage our potential globally.”
In March 2021 WHP Global acquired a controlling stake in the parent company of Toys ‘R’ Us, and in April 2023 the company purchased the Bonobos brand from Walmart in partnership with retailer Express.
