FaceTime with the Content Guy:  Where The Beef Is

Today, something a little different.

Last month, at the Retail Tomorrow Immersion sponsored by the California Grocers Association in Los Angeles, we had the opportunity to hear from George Zhou, a senior at the university of Southern California (USC) who is the co-founder (with a childhood friend) of a company called Buffs, which is bringing to market a line of “grass-fed beef buffs” designed to be a perfect snack for people looking for a healthier alternative.

George was an extraordinarily impressive young man, and I wanted to hear more about his story, his entrepreneurial journey, and the passion that drives him.  And I wanted to share it with the MNB community – because in many ways, George and his business partner, Beckett Kitaen, are the faces of tomorrow’s food industry.

One other note.  I’ve gotten some inquiries about the Retail Tomorrow initiative, and how companies and associations can avail themselves of the kind of future-forward thinking that Retail Tomorrow can curate and facilitate for them and their employees and customers.  The best way to find out more is to reach out to my friend Mark Ciccone – an industry veteran who brings youthful curiosity and energy to Retail Tomorrow events.  He’s a great guy, and it could be one of the smartest emails you send this year. You can reach him at [email protected]
