Brandless Raises $118 Million to Accelerate Growth – Yesterday Brandless CEO Cydni Tetro closes one of the largest rounds of funding ever raised by a woman. The story of Brandless has been an exciting rollercoaster ride over the past 5+years, with very high-highs and low-lows but Brandless may be back on track.

  • Their model has evolved from a D2C CPG company focused on “high-quality organic product” but making them much cheaper by eliminating the ‘BrandTax” to now combining access to better-for-you products with a new ‘influence-as-a-service model” uniting brands with micro-influencers through technology.

Instacart adds another Facebook Vet to Exec Team – if there was a shadow of a doubt that Instacart sees advertising and Retail Media as a significant growth driver they added Carolyn Everson as the new president just a few weeks after naming Fidji Simo as the new CEO

Kroger announced it’s second “Ghost Kitchen” partnership with Kitchen United. The first being with ClusterTruck in Oct of 2020. This is a space to watch.

Lastly with a little fun. Save A Lot Stops ‘Acting Like a Grocery Store’
and debuts a new campaign—complete with a hip-hop and pop-inspired music video.  And we thought Kroger’s Krojis were weird!  Trust us both are worth a watch….
