  • Remember the hilariously terrible Superbowl commercial? Well Oatly is laughing all the way to the bank as their shares soar 18% in company’s public market debut on Nasdaq.
  • Google is doubling down on ecommerce – earlier this week (yesterday) we shared that Google is partnering with Shopify, they have also launched this week (at their annual I/O conference) a new tool called the “Shopping Graph” which is, “our most comprehensive dataset about products and merchants.” It includes 24 billion listings from “millions of merchants across the web” and seeks to provide shoppers “the most relevant information” about the products they are interested in
  • Kroger launched their first Ocado shed a couple weeks back and is central to Kroger’s future ecommerce strategy.  This week Kroger’s CFO, Gary Millerchip, speaks to how Ocado is going thus far.  As typical for Kroger the answers were a bit cagey like “everything is going in the way we would have expected in our heads, if you like, as we started to launch the plan.” but there are a few gems in the interview.
