Hy-Vee launches two ship-to-home services.
ShopPetShip.com and Hy-VeeDeals.com launched selling what their URLs imply: pet products and subscription and Hy-vee’s weekly ads and bulk products. This comes after they announced the telehealth and pharmacy delivery service RedBox Rx. Hy-vee plans to reach shoppers nationwide, hoping to capture sales digitally it doesn’t have the physical store footprint to match.
Store openings may have matched closings in 2021.
For the first time in five years, store opening are forecasted to match closing, according to Coresight Research. If the pandemic forced retailers to evaluate and close underperforming stores, it also shed light on how important stores can be to the brand and growth. It’s a right-sizing.
