Ralphs and Kitchen United Open 1st Location in L.A.

Kroger has opened it’s first ghost kitchen under the Ralph’s banner on the west coast. Customers can place orders for pickup or delivery as Kroger partners for innovation within this space, essentially applying the concept of dark stores to another capability—to better serve serve customers through convenience. 

Rite Aid aims for end-to-end supply chain visibility.

Through partner Reflex Solutions, Rite Aid is centralizing space planning, store and distribution center forecasting, and replenishment planning into one solution. This comes after their partnership with dunnhumby (price, promotion, loyalty) and enhancing assortment, targeting, and planning in CX initiative. Rite Aid is stepping up it’s game, and looks to partner with others when operating outside of their core competencies.

Taco Bell Introduces New Subscription Service.

Because who isn’t at this point? A year long subscription gives customers a free taco a day. In the pilot, it drove significant trial to their rewards program; 20% were new rewards members. It rewards frequency, which seems helpful in driving habit develop. Certainly something to taco-bout, as they say.
