On Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight,” host John Oliver focused most of his attention on the subject of AI chatbots, and here’s how he introduced the segment:
“Our main story tonight concerns AI: It saves significant time writing emails, and all it costs us is everything else on Earth.”
From there, he examined the implications of AI chatbots, especially (but not exclusively) on young people. And, he looked at the culpability of the people and companies that have unleashed them on the globe.
