aisle 3 exits the CSS business and uses proceeds to support growth in sneaker category

AI powered shopping platform aisle 3 has completed the sale of its Google Comparison Shopping Site (CSS) service to Product Hero.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, other than it being all cash.

The sale consolidates market share for CSS service provider Product Hero, which works with the likes of Rituals and Ikea.

Developed by a team of e-commerce specialists since 2020, aisle 3 is an online shopping platform that uses proprietary AI technology to aggregate all retailers selling the same product into one tab.

This means shoppers can find the cheapest price and checkout across any retailer in one click.

The proceeds of the sale will support its growth in the sneaker category, continuing the development of its proprietary universal product matching algorithm and Cloud Basket solution.

Thomas J. Vosper, CEO at aisle 3, says: “As our sneaker shopping experience continues to rapidly gain traction we switch focus towards our AI engine.”

“Since our launch at NRF in New York in January, we have exceeded 10,500 registered shoppers to our platform and aim to become the preeminent destination for UK sneakers after closing our current investment round.”

“Product Hero is a great new partner for the advertisers and agencies we’ve supported, as they continue to run their advertising campaigns through the EU wide programme.“
