Daily QuickWit 4.27 – Yesterday’s top stories from A to Noid

From Amazon to Millennials to the Noid, here is what the RetailWit crew is talking about today…

Amazon is piloting a program to let sellers contact their buyers directly, ideally building a relationship with that buyer and driving loyalty. The short and long term impact of this is going to be interesting as sellers have been begging for the chance to directly connect with those buying their products, now that they have it what will they do?

Millennials are leaving the urban areas, buying property and showing interest in gardening, pets and general house/property maintenance. Maybe this is a trend from a year of lockdown, or maybe this is here to stay. If this generation is showing more self-reliance, what other industries/categories/companies will start to see the benefit?

We can no longer avoid the Noid, as Domino’s partners with Nuro and brings back an icon. The retro trends continue as the pizza chain goes back to a mascot from simpler times…did anybody else have the Noid video game?

And finally, our good friend Todd Sebastian asks a very important question; In the history of marketing, what is the best question ever asked?
